TORONTO, June 5, 2012 /CNW/ -Maybe it's a jersey number, a loved one's birthday, or a house number - whichever way you choose, just two simple digits now give Ontario lottery players more chances to play! Today, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) unleashes the excitement with PICK 2, a new Ontario Daily draw lottery game.
'We're always looking for new ways to engage our customers with fun games and innovative ways to play,' says Greg McKenzie, Senior Vice President of Lottery at OLG. 'With this new offering, it's as easy as one, two!'
Your Number Could Be A Winner!
The new PICK 2 Lotto is a fun and simple $2 game that allows players to choose any two digit combination from 00 to 99 for a chance to win $99. The odds of winning any prize with PICK 2 are 1 in 10. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 100.
Ontario adults can use a selection slip to choose their two digit number, request a randomly generated Quick Pick, or use our new Slipless Play method - simply tell the retailer the two digit number you want to play and they can enter it for you.
Draws twice each day - shortly after 2:00 p.m. and again, shortly after 9:00 p.m. - two individual numbers will be drawn at random from all numbers zero (0) through nine (9). There are two ways to win PICK 2:
- Match the first digit - win $2
- Match both digits - win $99
The first PICK 2 draw will be held shortly after 2:00 p.m. on June 5, 2012 and sales start at 6:00 a.m. the same day.
More fun with MIDDAY draws
Today, OLG is also introducing MIDDAY draws for several of its other popular games: PICK 3, PICK 4, DAILY KENO and ENCORE.
The ways to play the games remain the same, but now there will be two draws for PICK 3, PICK 4, DAILY KENO, and ENCORE each day. Just like with PICK 2, there will be a MIDDAY draw shortly after 2:00 p.m. and an EVENING draw shortly after at 9:00 p.m.

Tickets (with or without ENCORE) purchased for PICK 2, PICK 3, PICK 4 and DAILY KENO prior to 2:00 p.m. will be for the MIDDAY draw. Tickets purchased from 2:10 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for these games will be valid for the EVENING draw. Tickets purchased after 9:00 p.m. will be valid for the next draw.

PICK 2
- PICK 2 is an Ontario lottery draw game drawn twice daily. Players select a two digit number from 00 to 99 for a chance to win a top prize of $99.
- Each PICK 2 play costs $2, and there are two ways to win. Players who match the first digit win $2 and players who match both digits win $99.
- Customers can choose their numbers using a selection slip, requesting a Quick Pick or by the new Slipless Play feature. Players who opt for Slipless Play can simply tell the retailer their two digit selection and the retailer will print the corresponding ticket.
- Overall odds of winning a prize with PICK 2 are 1 in 10. Odds of winning the top prize of $99 are 1 in 100.
- Advance Play is available for up to 10 consecutive draws, and there is also a Repurchase option on PICK 2 to play the same number selection for subsequent draws. ENCORE is available for an additional $1.
MIDDAY DRAWS
- OLG is also introducing MIDDAY draws for the PICK 2, PICK 3, PICK 4 and DAILY KENO games. The new MIDDAY draws will take place shortly after 2:00 p.m. and the EVENING draws will continue to take place shortly after 9:00 p.m. for these games.
- PICK 2, PICK 3, PICK 4 and DAILY KENO tickets purchased before 2:00 p.m. will be valid for the MIDDAY draw. Tickets purchased from 2:10 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. will be valid for the EVENING draw. Tickets purchased after 9:00 p.m. for these games will be for the next draw.
- Tickets for these games will be marked as valid for either the 'MIDDAY' or 'EVENING' draw.
- There will be an ENCORE draw for the MIDDAY games as well. ENCORE can be purchased in conjunction with most lottery games for an additional $1.

However, here is a quick synopsis of this amazing effective lottery technique.
In a normal lottery game you will only play a set amount of numbers. For our example we will look at a pick 5 game.
In a pick 5 game you must choose 5 numbers and hope that they match the numbers that are drawn in the game you are playing.
Obviously it is very difficult to match your numbers with the winning numbers when you only get to play 5 numbers. But, what if you could play 6 numbers, 7 numbers or 8 numbers and play them all? Do you think you would have a better chance of having some winning numbers in your selection?

Through mathematical “wheels” you can play all of those 8 numbers (as seen in the image above-right) to give yourself an extremely high chance of winning at least one 4 out of 5 win.
You can also wheel the same numbers with a 5 out of 5 wheeling system to increase your odds of winning the top prize.
The added advantage of using such wheels is that if you do have winning numbers in your selection you will win more than one prize because those numbers will be on more than one line of your plays. Pretty neat..eh?!
